It is a requirement of RTOs to ensure their assessments have been independantly validated by industry. This can be difficult to do, and so many RTOs use learning and assessment resources created off-shore by workers with no industry experience.

Our resources and assessments are validated by industry. We work with qualified industry experts, employers and manufacturers to make sure our assessments and learning resources are up-to-date, valid, and compliant with VET standards for assessment validation. Our instructional designers are qualified industry experts themselves, which results in better quality learning resources and assessments.

For example, here’s a list of organisations we work with to ensure our resources are validated and compliant:

Green Building Institute: GBI is a a national not-for-profit organisation that creates learning resources for energy efficient, sustainable homes and buildings.

National Painting and Decorating Institute: NPDI is the peak professional body for the painting industry. Our resources for Certificate III in Painting and Decorating are made available under licence from NPDI

CSR: CSR is a leading manufacturer of building supplies and worked with us to create many subjects on building product installation.

Cement Concrete Aggregates Australia: CCAA is the peak body for the heavy construction materials in Australia, including cement and aggregates. We consulted with CCAA and Holcim Lafarge, a concrete manufacturer, for the development of our Certificate III in Concreting and Advanced Diploma of Building and Construction

Association of Wall and Ceiling Industries: AWCI is the peak body for the wall and ceiling industry. We work closely with AWCI to ensure our learning resources for Certificate III Solid Plastering and Wall and Ceiling Lining are valid and compliant.

Australian Building Codes Board: ABCB is a government funded organisation that manages the creation and publishing of the National Construction Code. Many of our resources for Certificate IV Building and Construction, Diploma of Building and Construction, and Advanced Diploma of Building and Construction are made available under licence from ABCB.

BuildSum: BuildSum is a publisher of high quality learning content for Certificate III Carpentry and Certificate IV Building and Construction

Of course, validation is the responsibility of the RTO, so if you need our resources or assessment customised to your learner cohort or Training and Assessment Strategy, we’ll work with you to make that happen.
